Manuel A. Torres-Salichs M.D., is a fellowship trained board certified surgical oncologist specializing in diseases of the breast, both benign and malignant.
Dr. Manuel A. Torres-Salichs received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Further post-graduate fellowship was completed in Surgical Oncology at the University of Miami/ Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He received an American Cancer Society sponsored scholarship in Clinical Oncology and served as Instructor of Surgery at the University of Miami.
He belongs to the Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons, among other professional societies.
Dr. Torres-Salichs is certified by the American Board of Surgery and has special interest in the treatment of breast diseases. He has been in private practice in the area of Miami area since 1995. He holds active staff positions at Baptist Hospital, South Miami Hospital, and Jackson South Community Hospital and has served as sub-section chief of General Surgery at Baptist Hospital since 2006. He holds a position as assistant professor of clinical surgery at the FIU School of Medicine.
